MizOutlet Haul!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Darling Dolls!

This will be my last post of the week since I’ll be in ALABAMA for the weekend! I AM SO EXCITED TO GO BACK HOME! Most importantly, I get to see Tasha! WOOHOO!! We will be reunited and it will feel oh so good! Let’s get to the matter at hand. The newest treasure I’ve found online is mizoutlet.com. It is an online accessory superstore!!! This has been the best turn around time for shipping that I’ve ever experienced! I ordered on Friday and received my package on Monday. Y’all know I don’t order online unless the shipping is free and if you spend over $20 (which is easy to do) shipping is free and fast!

I set a budget of $25–this whole budget situation is new to me. Anyway, for $25 I ordered.. *drumroll*

  • 2 rings
  • 5 pair of earrings
  • 3 necklaces
  • 4 bracelets
  • 4 headbands – oops i didn’t take pics! but they’re super cute! 🙂

I am so pleased and thoroughly impressed with my purchases! I have been telling everyone about Mizoutlet! I thought Forever 21 had nice, inexpensive jewelry, but seriously where can you get trendy accessories for $1.00-$1.99? Also, jewelry is 1/2 off online and in store at Wet Seal. I lost my favorite owl earrings that I got from Claire’s & temporarily replaced then wtih $3 owl earrings from Wet Seal. I will probably never buy another accessory in store again! Thank you, Mizoutlet, for making my life 10 times more uh-maazing than it already is! Hot pink kisses to y’all!!

Happy Easter, dolls! I’m not going to preach a sermon on this blog, but I will leave you with this..

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ “ – Mark 16: 6-7

I would like to thank the Academy..

BH Cosmetics Palette!

Hello Darling Dolls!

I’ve heard great things about BHCosmetics, so I decided to order a palette. I have been stalking the 28 Neutral Color Palette for about a month, but it is always out of stock. It is in stock right now and only $12.32! Right now, the Spring Sale at BHCosmetics is taking 30% off selected palettes. Of course the affordability of BH instinctively caught my eye, but I had a fear that the colors wouldn’t be pigmented. From doing a little Youtube stalking and Amazon review research, it seemed most people were satisfied for the price, so I went for it! Tasha yelled at me a little and convinced me to get something other than neutral since I already have the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I decided to get the best of both worlds and ordered Jenni Rivera’s 36 Color Eye Shadow and Blush Palette.

I’ll be honest, I have no idea who Jenni Rivera is and I was too lazy to Google her. If I’m impressed with the palette, I will check out her music! Just Kidding! 🙂 I’m going to check out her music, anyway. If you’re a Jenni Rivera fan comment and leave me some song suggestions! Anyway, I rubbed some of the colors on and they seem to be okay. There’s matte and shimmer colors. A few of them are reminiscent of MAC eye shadow and blush that I own. Is it MAC quality? I don’t know yet, so I won’t lie to you.

36 colors for less than $20 works for me! I’ll try out the blush for work tomorrow and I’ll give you guys a quick review. I really need to clean my makeup brushes. Maybe I’ll do that tonight. I digress. I actually plan on leaving my couch this weekend, so I’ll try a look with this palette and supply you guys with a full review! BHCosmetics was on point with the shipping! I received this palette within a few days and it didn’t get a tour of the USA like my BirchBox. Have any of you tried BHCosmetics? My next experiment will be with Sigma Beauty products. Have any of you guys checked them out?

Stay tuned dolls!

Carpe Diem,

Tashara ❤

JcPenney is Fair and Square

Hello Darling Dolls!

Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had an uh-maazing weekend! Saturday in my More Target Love blog, I posted one of my JCPenney goodies. Without further adieu, I’ll show you the rest. On the 1st Friday and 3rd Friday of each month, JCPenney marks down merchandise! Whoever thought of this is a marketing genius since most people get paid on the 1st and 15th! I got my hair cut and colored at JcPenney on a Thursday. Have you guys checked out my new hair yet?! After getting my hair done, I realized I could not remember where I parked. I usually text a friend and tell them where I’ve parked, but this time I forgot. So while I was on the phone with Tasha, blaming her for not knowing where I was parked, I came across this gorgeous top!

I was too distraught to purchase it on Thursday, but I vowed to go back and get it the next day. Lucky for me, I had a 15% off coupon in addition to the mark downs! Woohoo! I ended up buying a few more items..

I have been looking for tights that look like leopard spots for the longest. Every time I go to Target they’re sold out! My bracelet was $5, the tights were $3 and the earrings were $4. The earrings are a perfect combo of my two favorite things–owls and feathers! I ended up spending a grand total of $25! I unbuttoned the top two buttons of the blouse and wore it to work with a black tank top, hot pink pencil skirt, tights, and faux alligator wedges from Express.

JCPenney has definitely improved! They have a good mix of work attire and weekend wear! I’ll be shopping there more often, but only on the first and third Friday of the month 🙂

March Birch Box

Hello Darling Dolls!

Happy Friday!!!!!! Who’s excited for the weekend?! My darling friend Ashleigh suggested that we try out Birchbox for a month. Someone recommended it to her, she recommended it to me, and now I’m recommending it to you! I’m definitely going to have fun experimenting with these products this weekend!

My Birchbox traveled all around the US to get to me (Seriously), but it was worth the wait. Basically, you sign up for Birchbox, select items that fit your interest and then a box of sample goodies are sent to you! For one month it’s just $10 and I will say it’s worth it. Will I get a Birchbox every month? Probably not, but if you have an expendable $10 and you want some goodies then definitely go for it! Check out the bulleted list of my goodies!

  • Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien ($85)- This smells like straight lemon juice, which they tell me in the description. “This bright scent features a winning combo of lemon, grapefruit, and green mandarin.” I would not describe this as winning combo.
  • Color Club Age of Aquarius ($8)- UH-MAAZING! It is so amazing I’m motivated to paint my nails this weekend.
  • I Coloniali Invigorating Tibetan Shower Cream with Rhubarb ($29) – Right on time, because I’m almost out of Nivea and omg it smells like the heavenly hosts are having a party in a bottle.
  • Miss Jessie’s Original Curly Meringue ($22) – I’ve used this before and I’m grateful for the reminder. If I was still wearing my hair naturally curly, this would be perfect, but I’m not.
  • WEI Pomegranate Buffing Beads – ($20)  Honestly, I had no idea what this was. The word Wei reminded me of the restaurant Pei Wei and I had an immediate craving for sushi. Anyway, this is  an exfoliant scrub that I plan on trying this weekend as well! Spa day at my apartment!

Extra goodies!

  • Miss Jessie’s Original Creme de la Creme conditioner ($16)
  • Miss Jessie’s Original Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo ($14)

Yes.. you guessed it! I’m washing my hair this weekend too!

For $10, I received samples of $200 worth of products. I’ve heard that people have gotten sucky Birchboxes and I would be so irritated if that happened to me. This first experience was a good one (aside from the shipping time). I’ll definitely try BirchBox again. Don’t eat fast food for a week, save that $10,  and sign up.

Tashara ❤

Reality TV star Khloé Kardashian Odom opens up about bullying, marriage, and living her life in the public’s eye.

OUT: How do you define success?
Khloé Kardashian Odom: I don’t define success by the amount of money someone has or by their popularity. Life can be so unpredictable, and there are ups and downs. To me, success is setting goals and working hard to achieve them. Whether big or small, it’s important to have that discipline and a clear idea of what you want. In my opinion, just because a person is famous doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re successful.

What can we see on your show this season?
A lot of big and unexpected changes—on the personal and professional fronts—for both of us. It’s all exciting and I’m so happy that I can take the viewers on this crazy ride with me.

2012 Men’s Oscar Wrap Up

Hello Darling Dolls. Tashara here (of course).

Who doesn’t like looking at scrumptious men in tuxedos?! Let’s not even wait. (All pictures from MTV.com)

Let me clear my throat and sing to Pharrell Williams. *Ahem* “Beautiful, I just want you to know. This is one of my favorite looks.” Pharrell looks so handsome! Don’t you agree? I do think that the tux is a wee bit tight, but it’s better than pulling a Matthew Lillard and wearing a 3X suit. (I discuss this later). Hopefully, Pharrell didn’t pop a button when he took his seat. The satin lining on the lapel and vest is everything. This bowtie is slightly crooked to match this smile, but it appears to be velvet which totally makes up for the slant. I’m going to assume that the tux was wrinkled in the limo ride to the venue. Aside from that, Pharrell gets approval from me!

Raise your hand if you’re tired of this baby part P. Diddy is rocking. He just looks disoriented. This suit has made me yawn three times. Was Natalie Portman his date? I just can’t get into shirt sleeves being longer than the blazer. I can’t. I’m done.

I really want Jonah Hill to have a Weight Watchers commercial! I am personally 100% in LOVE with this tux. The pants are kind of long, but I can get over that. As you should know, I am not a fan of a boring, blah, unexciting, black tux (P.Diddy) and Jonah took a risk with this look. Satin is always a yes in my book, so the pockets, bowtie and lapel are definitely winners! I wish I would have seen this in person just to see how the shirt reflected against the tux.  I have no idea what color this shirt is which intrigues me and makes me love it even more. Tell me you love how Jonah’s hair is sculpted to the heavens! The fiercest winds couldn’t dissemble that do’. Bravo, Jonah, bravo.

Is it just my computer or are all of these bow ties gangster leaning? Seriously, is there a stylist strike? I really need to know. Don’t crucify me, but I really think Zachary Quinto looks good.  The blue satin lapel against the charcoal gray is UH-MAAZING. He’s giving me Clark Kent and I like it. 2 thumbs up, Quinto.

We can’t talk about blue without discussing Christopher Plummer’s navy velvet blazer! The piping around the lapel gives it even more flair. And to top it all off, his bow tie is straight! Now this is the definition of debonair.

So Matthew Lillard dropped by Men’s Wearhouse and rented the only tux that they had available? These sleeves are too long, this tux is too big, this hair is awful, and these shoes look like a cross between formal Nike’s and orthopedic shoes. On the plus side, his bow tie is straight.

That’s all for the guys, y’all! I hope you enjoyed this little review! Have you checked out my 2012 Oscar Wrap up of the ladies of the red carpet? If you haven’t, GO! 🙂

Oh yeah, Happy March 1st! If you’re not signed up for Just Fab then you need to go do that after you read the women’s wrap up, of course. We have a lot planned for March so stay tuned!

2012 Oscar Wrap-Up

Hello Darling Dolls. Tashara here (of course).

I know I’m a little late, but I was on a plane flying back from D.C. when the Oscars were airing. Y’all already know I was beyond mad that I missed the red carpet, but spending time with my G-hub for his birthday was much more important than fashion. *Gasp* Yes, some things are more important than fashion 🙂 There’s not too many things though. Since there were so many looks that I despised, I decided to review the looks that I loved. Is there some type of personal stylist strike going on and celebrities are being left to fend for themselves? I’m totally available for hire, folks! Some of the looks I saw on the carpet were appalling!

Before I even go into the fashion, let me just say that I’m not that much of a fan of natural hair on most people, but Viola Davis is ROCKING that natural! Werk, ma’am! She had to werk something because that gown was atrocious. While we’re speaking of Viola Davis, let’s discuss other actresses from The Help. (All of my pics are from MTV.com–I feel like I need to include this or someone will come after me!)

Octavia Spencer has been dominating the red carpet this season. Being an Alabama native, I am proud of her not only for winning an Oscar, but also for being so fierce on the carpet and dressing those curves to perfection! Octavia, girl, please stick with Tadashi Shoji. This dress created an hourglass figure that would make Angelina Jolie jealous! (And she should be because Ang needs to gain a few pounds).

Emma Stone can do no wrong in my eyes. I saw that people were complaining about the bow around her neck, but I love it! It is sophisticated and chic. The color of this Giambattista Valli Couture complimented Emma’s hair color and skin tone. Say what you want, but I think she looked UH-MAAZING.

Oh, Natalie Portman why did you do this? This Christian Dior gown is reminiscent of a lady bug. I know polka dots are in for Spring, but honey, this isn’t the look. And this hair is so boring. I wish the dress would have given me less and the hair could have given more.

When I saw Glenn Close in this custom Zac Posen I screamed, “YES!!” and then gave two snaps! She is crushing actresses that are half her age! This color is gorgeous, she’s gorgeous, her body is UH-MAAZING. The blazer completed this ensemble and sealed it as a Glenn Close original. I will say that I could have done without the spurting of green in the back, but it’s Glenn Close! She’s a legend and can do what she wants!

Milla Jovovich– OLD HOLLYWOOD. This one-shoulder Elie Saab gown literally took my breath away. I gasped! She looks absolutely gorgeous. I seriously have no more words. Just admire this.

Gwyneth Paltrow  has on a cape and I am living, breathing, and fulfilled!  This Tom Ford concoction is so dramatic, I can’t even deal. I almost fainted, because I love this so much. And do you see this pose?!

I know I said I was only going to do the looks that I loved, but if anyone knows me y’all know Marchesa is the reason for my existence but THIS has made me question life.

Stacy Keibler is a nice looking girl and she pulls off this color well. The material is gorgeous, but there is no reason to have this rose contraption protruding from her hip. It is too much for her small frame. It looks like a growth sticking out. I’m so baffled and completely devastated.

I’m an Alexander McQueen lover, so when I saw a pic of Jessica Chastain my first thought was, “Who is this?” Then I thought,”It doesn’t matter. This has to be McQueen!” Low and behold, when I scrolled down, I saw that it indeed was McQueen. The gold on this black is magnificent! The embroidery is UH-MAAZING. It fits her like a glove.

You have to love anyone named Busy. I feel like this Dolce & Gabbana gown is something I would wear even though it does give me an old thrown out couch type of feel. The pulls and gathering at the waist does wonders for her already spectacular body. I love the contrast of the earrings and shoes, which is also something I would do. I like that the dress is slightly short so that you can get that pop of color from the shoe, which is much-needed. Our similarities end here. I would have done my hair for the red carpet and this is something Busy Phillips did not do. Eh. This look is okay. Maybe I just put her in here because her name is Busy? (Yes, I know it’s not her legal name).

To continue with my confusion, here is Louise Roe in Black Halo. I like that this is suit and a gown so like a suown? gouit? Don’t even try to pronounce those. This is a nice color and the belt is to die. Plus, she’s pretty. I think I like it. It’s no Glenn Close original, but I think it’s okay. Eh.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in Zuhair Murad. I feel like her hair was too contrite, almost giving her a homemade facelift. The gown was sort of like an optical illusion, but also pleasing to the eye. Work out, J-lo!

That is all for the women! Stay tuned for my review of the men of the red carpet! Idris Elba wore Louboutin sneakers to the Grammy’s and my love for him grew deeper. His explanation was, “Why are women the only ones who get to wear red bottoms to these things?” I just felt that I needed to share that with y’all.

Airport Look

Hello Darling Dolls!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I went to D.C. last weekend, so I decided to post a gallery of my airport look! D.C. was a lot of fun, but I’m definitely not a city girl. Aside from the humbling experience of seeing the Lincoln Memorial and all of the other statues, memorials, and architecture of D.C., the next best thing was the shopping! There was a 3 level Forever 21! 3 levels! Zara is definitely one of my new favorite store. I wish there was one here in Raleigh. We were pressed for time and didn’t get to shop as much as we wanted to. I vowed to never go back to D.C., but if I do, it will be a trip totally dedicated to shopping!

As for my airport look, I went for a comfortable, but cute look. I was complimented in Raleigh and Baltimore, so I was pleased! I wore  a tunic by Jason Wu for Target, a scarf from K-Mart (Yes, K-Mart! I went in there for tights and to look at the Sofia Vergara line and I ended up getting 2 pair of tights and a scarf!), leggings from Sears and Steve Madden wedged knee boots! What do you y’all think of my look?!
